For several years now, forest patrols have been quite difficult by vehicle due the poor state of the roads, most of which had been literally blocked by vegetation.
The past one month seen a lot of improvement as a combination of the local community, Forest officials and Rangers worked tirelessly to open them up.
This will be of great benefit, as vehicles will have access to the forest incase of emergencies like fire outbreaks that have occurred during the dry season.
Patrols and responses to emergencies will also be easy and more efficient since most parts of the forest are now accessible.
Visitors can now enjoy a cool horse or bike ride in the forest, as they sample the wonders of this unique indigenous forest resource.
